I don't know if anyone bothers to read these - kinda doubt it, haven't had any comments in a month or two now. But in any case - I'm suffering from a bit of a problem. I've got lots of characters to write about, but I can't pick which one to work on. So, you guys are going to help me choose, if any of you read this. Some of the names you'll recognize from stories I've already written, some you may not. I'll include a short description about some of them.

Fantasy world setting:

Bryden Kale - A young aspiring politician, seeking to climb into the service of the king by joining the army in it's crusades against heresy. Serious demeanor, ridiculously loyal, but highly observant, he stamps out corruption wherever he finds it. It's made him more than a view enemies on the political front.

Arzades Anderwyn - A morally dissolute young nobleman; learned magic in the search of power over life and death. Doesn't much care whether he lives or dies, as long as he gains the power he seeks. Bisexual; also infertile.

Shard - A somewhat insane murderer, trying to atone for all his past sins, but driven by them and the voices within him, as well as a somewhat abrasive disposition to committing further atrocities. Anything that doesn't benefit him is seen as a betrayal, and he tends towards the violent when dealing with it.

Kyzen Arrowdancer - Desert nomad, first born son of the warlord's tribe's wife. Uninterested in ruling, when his father died, he fled the tribes, abandoning them to infighting and tribal disputes. Carries with him the ashes of his father, however, trying to prove that the desert is just a small part of the world as he explores.

Alexander Shadowflame - A duellist of some fame and a sorceror of middling power, Alexander Shadowflame was once posessed by a demon and managed to purge it from himself only after decimating several towns and villages. Hunted by the law, he seeks to atone for crimes that weren't even his fault. Quite often works as a mercenary for people suffering oppression.

Damarion Kyrie - A soldier, knight, warrior. Sworn into the service of the lady he loves, he acts as her general and martial adviser. He also travels on missions for her when she deems it necessary. He can be somewhat overbearing, as he counts loyalty the highest virtue, above honour, integrity, or his own soul.

Science fiction/Post-apocalypse setting:

Ridley Hammond - A rifleman, granted immortality through some disease that infected him while on an exploration into what used to be Central/South America, he dreams of dying a thousand times, remembering all the lives he's taken for whatever cause. Works mostly as a caravan guard, but also uses his elder knowledge to guide explorations and archaeological digs.

Jhom Stall - Part of the group that became The Savage, Jhom is trying to discover what exactly caused the Dying Earth. The only known person to have survived exposure to mutant blood and retain his sanity, he's marked by hands permanently stained red by a mutant he killed.

Other (Alternate Reality/History, perhaps):

Adam/Eve - The first humans, and also the first vampires. Once God cast them from the Garden, they were also forbidden the grace of the sun. They wandered the wilderness for a long time before they discovered humans, and then discovered that the only sustenance they could bear anymore was the flesh and blood of humans. Their stories are scattered throughout all of history, from ancient times to modern day.
